This five day Level 4 Design, Construction Management and Initial Verification of Electrical Installations short course is for anyone involved in, or wishing to become involved in, the design, construction and inspection and testing of electrical systems. The course has recently been revised and re-graded as Level 4. It is a nationally recognised benchmark qualification for companies seeking a qualifying manager and a natural progression for anyone who already holds the City & Guilds 2391-10/2394-01/2395-01/2391-52.
This course covers the principles, practices and legislation for the specification and design of electrical installations course covers the principles, practices and legislation for the specification and design of electrical installations and includes two City and Guilds assessments.
On completion of this course, participants will have gained the knowledge and skills required to actually carry out the Design & Verification of Electrical Installations.
The assignment will be started during the course but candidates will be given 2 months to complete it. It is expected to take candidates 40 hours

Electricians who have ideally achieved a Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2395) (2391) as well as obtaining industry experience. It is also strongly recommended that candidates have achieved either the City & Guilds Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671) (2382-18) or similar.
