This 2 day Portable Appliance Testing course addresses the 1989 Electricity at Work Regulation 4 (2) which requires that ‘as may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so far as is reasonably practicable’. This requirement covers fixed and portable equipment used on your premises or by your employees and self-employed persons. This course covers the requirement for Portable appliances. It is recommended that candidates for this course have an amount of electrical theory knowledge, so that they can participate fully in the course and undertake the practical test to evaluate their ability to conduct testing.
