Emergency First Aid at Work Sports Plus

Course Details

Sport’s governing bodies, including UK Athletics, regard First Aid as an essential skill for all Coaches and Leaders and considers that they have a responsibility to maintain their competency in this area. UK Athletics recommends that all Leaders and Coaches undertake an appropriate level of first aid training.

Our 7 hour course is aimed specifically for everyone who works in any sports environment.  Indoor and outdoor sports are catered for.  Based on the Emergency First Aid at Work course, and includes injuries to bones, muscles and joints, temperature related illness, and our CPR covers all ages.

Our training meets UKA Category B.

  • COVID Resuscitation
  • Defibrillator (AED) Awareness
  • Choking
  • Management of Seizures
  • Control and Treatment of Wounds and Bleeding
  • Treatment of Minor Injuries
  • Treatment of Burns
  • Treatment of Electric Shock
  • Treatment of Clinical Shock
  • Treatment of injury to bones, muscles, and joints
  • Identification and treatment for temperature related illness

This EFAW qualification is assessed via continual observation/assessment by the trainer.  An HSE approved, FAIB accredited, certificate, valid for 3 years, will be issued to those who meet the criteria

Course duration is 7 hours plus breaks

Any person who is involved with any sports based activities.to be designated as a Coach or Leader.
