This 4 day course has been designed to provide the necessary crane training and instructional techniques to enable staff to deliver an internal crane theory and practical training programme. It consists of two elements, the additional technical elements required for safe lifting and slinging followed by 3 days of instructional techniques to provide participants the underpinning knowledge to deliver the programme.

Course Contents
Pre-shift inspection
Risk assessment Site safety checks including; personnel and vehicles, overhead hazards,
Check all equipment – test certificates
Check positioning
Carry out load safety checks – weight, size, location, lifting points, heavy ended, loose items, moving parts and check all pre-lift documentation completed satisfactorily
Liaise with crane/lifting equipment operator/signaller to agree signal code before loading
Ensure all work is carried out safely and accurately
