Course Details

This CIEH Foundation certificate in manual handling course outlines the duties which are placed on employers and self employed persons in all industries and services to identify and avoid, if possible, the need for certain manual handling work activity.. This reduces the risk of manual handling injury and you will be able organise work stations to make handling tasks easier and provide information to persons undertaking manual handling.
Any work involving LIFTING – PUTTING DOWN – PUSHING – PULLING – CARRYING – MOVING is affected by Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
Injuries from manual handling have long been recognised as a major source of occupational injury and ill health, making it one of the most common causes of injuries at work.
