This course is delivered by experienced instructors and includes classroom theory, hands-on practical training, and formal assessment to ensure operators meet required competency levels.

This Fork Lift Truck training course is held at your premises and is designed for up to 3 delegates. Companies can choose between an RTITB certificate or training provider version

  • Legal responsibilities: Health & Safety at Work Act and PUWER

  • Forklift truck components, controls, and safety features

  • Understanding truck stability, load centres, and rated capacity

  • Pre-use inspections and defect reporting

  • Safe manoeuvring, lifting, lowering, and transporting loads

  • Stacking and de-stacking in racking and free-standing scenarios

  • Operating in confined spaces and different workplace environments

  • Refuelling/recharging procedures

  • Practical assessment of operating skills

  • Written and/or verbal knowledge assessment
