This course looks at updating participants in Equestrian First Aid. It refreshes and updates the First Aid knowledge and skills of those who have passed their Equestrian First Aid certificate. It is assessed throughout the course by means of continual assessment by the trainer.

Control of bleeding, Burns and scalds
Dealing with equestrian accidents.
Convulsions / Fitting
First on scene casualty management and casualty positioning
Poisoning
Resuscitation
Allergic Manifestations
Management of an unconscious casualty
Management & treatment of fractures including spinal & pelvic injuries
Choking
Management of shock
Successful participants will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
Who should attend?
Any person who wishes to renew their equestrian First Aid certificate. Participants will need to supply a copy of their current and in-date certificate before attending this course.
