This blended learning course looks at the requirements to allow dental clinicians including dentists, dental nurses and hygienists to develop their professional knowledge, understanding and competence in medical emergencies, in line with their identified personal learning requirements.
This blended course includes “live” manikin training for CPR and use of the AED as part of the second session, once the on-line session has been completed. This allows delegates to comply with both the GDC and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
By the end of the course, Participants will be able to meet:
Session 1 (On-line learning)
Planning ahead in order to minimise the risks of a medical emergency for individual patients
Session 2 (Face to face)
Learners are assessed through self-checks on the on-line session as they progress through the course and an end of on-line session multiple choice assessment.
The face to face session will be assessed by the trainer
On successful completion, learners can download a certificate which can be used as verifiable CPD in line with GDC Enhanced CPD guidelines
